In the new role McFedries will be part of the drive for further global expansion, and focus on support and growth for existing markets.

The real estate franchise group operates across 10 countries – its home base of New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, South Africa, Indonesia, China and Hong Kong, the US, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

McFedries has most recently invested in and worked as managing director of Jetts Fitness. He has been on the board of Harcourts for seven years and has also been an active investor, board member and advisor to brands including ANZ, BUPA, Eagle Boys, Flight Centre, Grill’d and Pandora.

Harcourts International managing director, Mike Green, said “It’s not every day that you can appoint a key member to your leadership team who is already familiar with your values, systems and the Harcourts way of doing business, and we are excited about the future and continuing to deliver exceptional customer service.”

According to Voxy.co.nz, McFedries said his prime concern will be the relevance of the group strategy to clients, “their changing behaviours and how our office owners, sales agents and teams remain the market leaders for results and client connection.”
