In South Australia The Cheesecake Shop has unveiled a cheeky community fundraising campaign this September and October in partnership with medical charity, Flinders Foundation.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, The Cheesecake Shop will be serving up a spectacular ‘Bra Cake’ RRP $175, available for pre-order from selected local stores. A $50 donation from each purchase will go directly to Flinders Foundation.

Dessert lovers in South Australia can also support Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September, with $1 from every Flinders Foundation cupcake sold donated directly to the charity.

Customers can add an additional $2 donation at the time of purchase in The Cheesecake Shop stores.

South Australia senior area manager of The Cheesecake Shop, Mark Hanel, said “So many of us have been touched by cancer ourselves or have had family or friends who have been impacted. We are just glad to create this opportunity for our community to join us in raising much-needed funds for the exceptional work in cancer research and patient care delivered by Flinders Foundation.

“In addition to the contributions raised through our community, The Cheesecake Shop is happy to donate an additional $10,000 directly to the Foundation’s important work. It really is cake for a cause!”

Ross Verschoor, executive director of Flinders Foundation said “The financial support generated by the community is critical to our ongoing work to prevent, cure and care and we can’t thank you all enough.”

Funds raised during Prostate Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month will contribute to the work of Flinders Foundation in South Australia, which supports leading clinicians and researchers across Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders University to deliver better research, treatment and care for people affected by cancer.
