Australia’s Anytime Fitness has launched AF SmartCoaching technology and AF App, designed to personalise coaching for its 650,000 members.

The app also enables members to upgrade to the AF Access Pass for the convenience of opening club doors with their smartphone.

The tech rollout is part of the brand’s ongoing strategy to provide access and coaching for members both inside and outside a club.

Simon Thompson, general manager of Anytime Fitness, said the launch is a major step for the business.

“The new tools and technology represent the biggest improvement to the member experience we’ve made since AF started in Australia 15 years ago.”

The Anytime Fitness AF SmartCoaching technology captures member activity and performance both inside and outside the gym. Coaches will use the data and predictive analytics to produce a personalised health and fitness plan for each member, monitor progress, and create new programs as members’ fitness improves.

Members can use the app to schedule fitness consultations, sessions for personal or group training, and chat with a coach through text and video calls.

Nicole Noye, Collective Wellness Group CEO, said “The evolution of Anytime Fitness from a 24/7 gym to a connected ecosystem including digital access and the next step in personalised coaching is a huge step forward.

“We recognise that our members are active not just in our gym and need access to content and support anywhere, anytime. We are truly excited about the next step in our fitness journey.”
